Join us as we explore the iconography of the Virgin of Guadalupe through art! This workshop, taught by Erica G. Peralta, Master of Fine Arts candidate at Otis School of Art and Design, will deconstruct the symbolic purpose for appropriating the Virgen de Guadalupe’s image and likeness within contemporary and historical systems of faith.

Each guest will create an art piece using the histories and references from the lesson to reinterpret a banner for their vision of freedom in context of Guadalupe and spiritual renaissance. All material will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes for painting.
